What the school says:

About

Pericles is a non-profit organization mandated to improve Western business and legal skills of Russian professionals.

The Moscow based LL.M. in American Business Law is taught entirely in English mainly by U.S. professors and practitioners. It is a part-time, evening program designed for working lawyers.

Length is fairly flexible, allowing students to take as many courses as they want during one semester, taking up to 3 years to graduate.

Strategic alliances with the University of San Diego and Widener University give students an opportunity to spend summers abroad in Western Europe and the U.S.

Approximately 90% of students are Russian; with the remainder coming mainly from Western Europe. Almost 50% of the students receive financial assistance.

Despite the flexible schedule, academic standards are high. Reading and examination levels are equivalent to U.S. based law schools. Very little allowance is made for the fact that most students are not native English speakers. Thus applicants should be fluent in English.

Note: The main purpose of this program is to prepare Russian lawyers to improve their qualifications for work with international employers and clients in Russia. This degree alone might not entitle a graduate to take a bar exam to in the United States. A student wanting to practice law in the U. S. should carefully check the requirements of the state where they want to practice, and should, when possible, take a degree in the U. S.
