About
This LLM is a highly focused program on law and governance reform in transitional states designed for foreign and American lawyers with an interest in promoting the rule of law. Seven of the eight courses needed for the degree are required, and address current issues such as corruption, judicial independence, constitutional and administrative law regimes, and post-conflict reforms in addition to an overview of American law.
Admission requirements: two years of experience in the public or non-profit sector, including the judiciary and academia, working on governance and rule of law issues; for non-native English speakers or those whose legal education was not in English, TOEFL (100) or IELTS (7.0) is required; a recognized law degree; admission to the bar; recommendations; a personal statement; and an interview.
