About

This Master degree is one of three Master programmes (see also this chart) in law offered by the faculty, which focus on European law.

The Master in European Law LL.M. offers two separate programmes in the second year of the degree course: the track of General European Law and that of European Private Law .

In view of the long European tradition in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the proximity of numerous European institutions, including the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Investment Fund, the Master in European Law at our faculty concentrates on European law and comparative law. The General European law track is research-based and offers broad insight into the different fields of European law and an additionnal option to specialize in Satellite, Communications and Media Law (SatComMedia Law). The European Private Law track forms a natural extension of the first year of the Master degree course in European law for students who wish to specialise in private law or continue their specialisation in this particular field.

The application period for both tracks including the specialisation in European Private Law and the SatComMedia Law option is open for first time enrolment during the 2012/2013 academic year.
