University of Amsterdam, Netherlands, in cooperation with Columbia University School of Law, USA, launched joint LLM in International Criminal Law

The Amsterdam Law School of the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Columbia University School of Law, New York, USA, launched a joint LLM course in the field of International Criminal Law.

In addition to comparative and theoretical components, the program includes courses in International Criminal Law, International Criminal Tribunals and Jurisprudence of War and Genocide. Students also participate in a workshop entitled ‘Prosecution of International Crimes in Practice' which includes visits to the International Criminal Tribunal of the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague. They also do an internship.

The first group of students in this course began in September 2008.
