In order for a prospective student to be considered for admission, a completed application must exist. In order for an application to be completed, each student must submit:

1) Signed application form
2) Application fee of $75
3) Personal statement
4) Resume (or C.V. if international)
5) Official TOEFL or IELTS score (international applicants only; waived for those students who received their first law degree in a country whose official language is English)
6) Official, sealed transcripts (both undergraduate and law transcripts if domestic)
7) Two letters of recommendation (at least one letter must come from a professor)

Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Holding a degree in juridical sciences granted by a Chilean or foreign university.
2. Having an outstanding record of achievement throughout their law studies.
3. A good command of both English and Spanish.

The RGSL accepts international students interested in its programmes who are eligible and qualified to undertake studies at master’s level. Entry requirements vary slightly between different programmes and is available from the Admissions section of the RGSL homepage.

Students with English as a native language or who have completed their schooling or first degrees at an English speaking university are generally exempt from the English-language requirements.

We welcome applications from students holding (or expecting) a good second class (normally a 2:1 classification from a UK University) or equivalent. We do not require a degree in law. However, if you do not have a law background, some additional readings may be assigned. For those whose first language is not English, a good reading and writing knowledge of English is required. This may be evidenced by having successfully studied at university level courses taught in English, or by achieving the specified level of qualification. The University’s basic requirement is a TOEFL score of 600 or IELTS of 6.5. or equivalent.

Academic Entry Requirements:

Candidates must have completed the LLB degree, or a combined degree in the School of Law, or an equivalent overseas qualification. Admission is subject to a minimum 'B' grade point average. The thesis-only option is available to candidates who have:

- completed an LLB (Hons); or
- completed a combined degree in the School of Law with Honours in law; or
- completed an LLB (Hons) at another university; or
- achieved comparable levels of attainment in LLB studies at another university.

To be eligible to apply to the LL.M. program, applicants must:

I. POSSESS A BACKGROUND IN LAW

1. Possess a law degree with a high academic standing from an accredited university; or
2. Have been admitted to practise law; or
3. Have obtained either the Common Professional Examination of England and Wales with good results, provided that the candidate has also obtained at least a second class from an accredited university; or

Admission to the LL.M. program is highly selective. We are most interested in applicants who have completed their prior legal studies with high rank and who intend to return to their home countries to contribute to the legal profession. Otherwise, we are ecumenical: we are equally interested in applicants pursuing careers in private practice, government service, the judiciary, international organizations, non-governmental organizations and legal scholarship.

The LL.M. in European Competition and IP law is open to all applicants holding either a Bologna Master’s degree or a degree that is deemed equivalent by the admission commission. This degree is also opened to students with degrees from business schools, subject to a decision from the admission commission.

To follow the LL.M. programme, a sound working knowledge of French and English languages is indispensable.

Students willing to improve their English or French may attend language courses organized

The LL.M. Finance program is specifically designed for graduates who already have a first degree in law, business or economics from an accredited or recognized university.

Therefore, if you possess a first degree in any of these subjects and have outstanding academic records, we would be happy to receive your application. Previous professional experience is not a requirement., but is welcomed. We admit a mix of students with and without prior working experience who will equally benefit from the program.

Admission decisions for the LL.M. programs are based on the ability of the applicant to thrive in a demanding academic program, as evidenced by the applicant's academic record and professional accomplishments, and on the candidate's ability to add to the richness of the academic and extracurricular program.

The requirements for admission are as follows:

• a university degree in law, or in a comparable subject, from a German or foreign university and

• proof of sound knowledge of German, as well as basic knowledge of English or French, and/or

• proof of sound knowledge of English, with basic knowledge of German being an advantage.

Please note that it is not necessary to commit in advance to undertaking the program in a specific language; if students develop language skills over the duration of their stay, they may still opt to combine English and German classes at that stage.
