Master of Laws graduate of the Auckland Law School, New Zealand, wins essay competition in international commercial law

Katrina Winsor, LLM graduate of the Auckland Law School, New Zealand, has won the 2009 Clive M. Schmitthoff Essay Competition with focus on international commercial law. The finalist judge called her paper “the best in terms of writing, focus and aim." Katrina originally submitted the 17,000-word essay, on "The applicability of CISG to govern sales of commodity types of goods”, as her final LLM paper.

The essay contest is open to students at institutes of higher learning anywhere in the world. It is organised by the Pace Law School’s Institute of International Commercial Law in White Plains, New York together with the Queen Mary, University of London’s Centre for Commercial Law, UK.
