Nine US Universities to participate in American University in Washington, USA, LL.M. International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition

On March 8-9, 2013, The International Legal Studies Program, the Center on International Commercial Arbitration, and the LL.M. Executive Board at the American University in Washington, USA, will host the Second LL.M. International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition. This event, specifically created for LL.M. students, seeks to foster the study of international arbitration for the resolution of international business disputes and investment disputes.

The competition will focus primarily on oral advocacy before a panel of arbitration experts. Participants will be required to submit a brief argument outline. No other written memorandum is required.

In 2013 the competition will focus on a problem involving an international commercial dispute.

The following institutions are registered to participate in the 2013 International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition:

Penn State University Dickinson School of Law
Michigan State University College of Law
University of California, Berkeley School of Law (2 teams)
Georgetown University Law Center (2 teams)
American University Washington College of Law
Boston University School of Law
Duke University School of Law
Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (2 teams)

Team members of all participating teams must be enrolled in a Master of Laws (LL.M.) program.
