About

Emory Law's LLM program offers graduates of U.S. and foreign law schools the opportunity to pursue the master of laws from a nationally ranked law school in the United States.

LLM students may choose from among three broad tracks: a traditional LLM designed around a student's particular interests and expertise and drawing from the breadth of Emory's curriculum; an LLM in one of six formal concentrations developed by the Emory Law faculty; or a joint LLM program with Central European University in Budapest, Hungary.

As of fall 2011, Emory Law had 29 LLM students, with first law degrees from 12 different countries, including China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Georgia, Germany, Guinea, India, Korea, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and the United States. LLM students are integrated into the law school community, taking courses alongside JD students and holding student leadership positions in the International Law Society and the LLM Society.

LLM Program Options:
* LLM in an area of specialization defined by the student and built on relevant courses and faculty expertise.

* LLM Concentrations
o Transactional law
o Public law and regulation
o Human rights law
o Child law and policy
o Vulnerability and the human condition
o Law and religion

* Joint LLM with Central European University (with focus on international commercial law and international politics)
